If a student needs help, he is one of the first ones offering to lend a helping hand. During small group or partner time, if Gage notices a student doesn’t have a partner, he will ask that student to be part of his group. I can count on Gage to give me an air hug throughout the day or offer a student a few words of encouragement.  I have enjoyed watching Gage blossom throughout the year in his reading and math skills. Each day he is checking off another skill on the Math Magician chart. I look forward to watching Gage grow as a Randolph Southern student.

He’s confident enough to ask for help, and doesn’t stop until he fully understands.  Dylan is always helpful to myself and everyone in the class.  He’s always willing to pass out papers, help other students if I’m answering other questions, or lend a hand to any student who may need it.  I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter, kinder, or talented student!  Your next teacher will treasure you just as much as I have this year.  Continue to be the wonderful boy that I’ve seen grow so much from kindergarten to third grade!

The student of the month for Mrs. Ridgway’s class is Ryker Strait. I’ve known how wonderful Ryker has been for years, but this is the first chance that I get to witness it first hand. I absolutely love the fact that Ryker is so enthusiastic about school. If it’s a simple math problem or a question in our Jeopardy review game, he gets so excited to get the answer correct and encourages others to do the same. It brings a smile to my face when I see his little hand fly into the air to answer any question that I have. I also like the face that he doesn’t let frustrations get him down or doesn’t double his ability. He alsys powers through and asks questions when he’s tried his best to understand, but still needs a little help. Tyler is one of the best friends anyone could ask for, and is always trying to make people smile when they’re down. The positivity that he brings to everyone and every situation is like a breath of fresh air. It’s really hard to have a bad day when you’ve got him in your class. I can’t think of a better student than him to be named as our student of the month. Keep up the positivity, amazing leadership skills, drive and want to learn, and wonderful manners! The world needs more people like Ryker Strait!
